Tempe Bacem




Tempe bacem made by tempe that boiled with brown sugar. This traditional food is very famous because of the distinctive flavor that is sweet.Tempe bacem become another side dish that most of Indonesia people like to eat. Usually Tempe bacem provide in restaurant next to high way (warteg). 




If you curious about this recipe, here they are:  

Ingredients:
  • 600 grams of tempe (cut square or as your wish)
  • 3-4 cm of galangal
  • 600 ml coconut milk (for optional you may use water)
  • 2 stalk of lemongrass
  • 3 bay leaves


The seasoning for this recipe that should be mashed:
  • 2½ teaspoon of coriander
  • 6 red onions
  • 3 garlics
  • 1½ teaspoons of salt
  • 4 tablespoons of brown sugar
  • 3 hazelnuts


How to cook Tempe Bacem:

 
The first is “put all the ingredients into pan; add the water or coconut milk” (boil the tempe until the water or coconut absorbed into tempe). Lift
The last one is “fry the tempe bacem on the frying pan until well done. :)
